The three players comprising Alamantra first began to play together in 1993 as 'Every Little Flower' In 1996, they adopted a three-piece power trio format working under the name ON. They have since combined this aggressive edge with their interest in psychedelia as well as progressive rock.

Alamantra consists of: Bobby Shiflett: Gtr, Vox, (Alamantra); Kenny Shiflett: Drums (Space); Andrew Reid: Bass (Phoebus). Each member has been playing their primary instrument for better than 20 years meaning that this band has a combined level of experience of over sixty years.

In February 2001 it was decided that all of the various projects that these three have been doing would be brought under the general heading of Alamantra. They released a DAM CD at mp3.com called Nu 2 U featuring archived recordings. They are currently working on a new release to be out by the fall of 2001.
