Aimee Lovell & 007 was formed in 1999. The current core consists of Aimee Lovell, singer/lyricist, Bill Wingfield on bass, recently relocated from the Los Angeles area, Jennifer Tripp on keys, and David Martinez on guitar. Drums and horn players on sit in basis.
We have a contemporary sound with an ecclectic mix of r&b, reggae, rap, pop cumbia, and jazz influences. Ms. Lovell's voice is versatile flowing easily between R&B/reggae raps, Minnie Riperton highs and Selena lows. The set is half originals and half covers, includes 5 Spanish language songs, and current highlights include cover Lady Marmalade and a reggae version of Half Breed. The band has taken on a very dance oriented vibe.
007 describes our unique mix of the reggae genre with various ethnic & pop influences and bilingual lyrics. In other words, you never know what to expect from us aside from high energy and passion. Our show is PG rated, contemporary, has international appeal, and will appeal to dance oriented, festival geared audiences.
