a•him•sa: A Buddhist and Hindu doctrine expressing belief in the sacredness of all living creatures and urging the avoidance of harm and violence. Mirroring the beliefs of ahimsa doctrine, Ahimsa Theory, a melodic/alternative rock group from Eugene, Oregon believe in the sanctity of music to unite people. Playing unique and original songs, the four members of Ahimsa Theory are: Gabe Bledsoe (lead vocals/guitar), Warren Baumann (bass), Spencer Emch (drums), and Noah Frisch (keyboards). Ahimsa Theory began as a two-person project between Gabe and Warren who had previously played together in two high school bands (former Laconic and Ahimsa), but they did not find their fully realized sound until college when they found fellow bandmates Spencer and Noah. After the four compared their similar musical interests they quickly teamed up and began writing music together.
