Acme Anvil Company was formed in July, 2001 by Rives Crump and Jeremy Shaw as an acoustic original project concentrating on vocal harmonies, guitars and songwriting. The band has since expanded to six members.

Acme Anvil Company is now: Rives Crump on Vocals and guitars, Jeremy Shaw on vocals and guitars, Rob MacWilliams on bass, Bryan Sullivan on drums, Steve Burgess on percussion, and Eric Lovell on pedal steel and mandolin. The music is acoustic with an eclectic flavor which includes rock, jam, jazz, bluegrass with lots of improvisation and vocal harmonies.

The band is currently gigging and working in the studio on their debut cd, with an anticipated release in early 2003.
