Absent Ashes formed at the end of 2003. With perfect harmonies and great songs they are unforgettable. At every live show you are guaranteed to hear new material. With the right look and the right sound they are not to be missed.
Vicki Campbell, the bands lead singer and bass player has been a professional singer since the age of 14. Without fail she has been out singing in clubs every weekend up and down the country. David McNee is the bands main songwriter. He scores and arranges music for tv and film and also teaches. Paul McKenna is a young singer songwriter with a stunning voice. Colin Walker is a trained pipe band drummer. When not playing with Absent Ashes he is hired by working bands.
The first Absent Ashes gig sold out with people being turned away at the door. This was due to the fact the band had already built up a following by playing acoustic nights in pubs around glasgow and the west coast. Within a couple of months they were headling to 400 strong crowds and in the studio recording their first single.
All 4 members of Absent Ashes are professional musicians who each had a following on their own before getting together. With a catalogue of nearly 30 songs their live shows are always exciting and ever changing.
