Biography:BAND BIOGRAPHYAlbatross was formed February 2002, in Grandville MI. After two and half years together, founding members Dave Droski, Jake Gerard, Kevin 'Jolly' Duemler, and Brandon Travis had to make major transitions regarding the direction of their band. Jake and Jolly were going to college in Kalamazoo , MI at Western Michigan University. Bass Player Brandon Travis, decided to go to college in Palataka, FLA, to play baseball. The remaning three decided to stay together with Droskiwilling to commute from Grand Rapids to Kalamazoo for practice. With their sights set on LA, for summer 2005. Albatross was in need of a bass player. In came Evan Demko: an old friend of Jake's whoattends the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. Evan was a talented guitar player, with a knack for writing songs. Desperate to find a band to fit his talent and taste, Evan decided to pick up bass, and join the Albatross.
Albatross, now based out of Kalamazoo, took on a new attitude, with one goal in mind - perfection. Sticking with the plan to relocate to Los Angeles, the band is set to groom itself for the competitive LA music scene. Polishing the old songs, and starting on the new, Albatross has combined their influences of rock, classic rock, blues, and whatever else they decide to bring a truly unique sound to the music world.Guitarists Jake Gerard and Dave Droski bring out the ripping lead power unseen for nearly 15 years(Relying on guitar solo, after solo, after solo). The band has become a rock power house with the back bone of Kevin Jolly Duemler with his thunderous, quick fills, that keep a groove, with a fat back beat. Evan Demko brings out the link between rhythm and melody, with the complimenting bass lines that link the sporadic rhythms of Jolly, with the lengthy screaming leads of Jake, and Dave.
