Formed as a 4 piece in 1999, '80s Combat started off as playing simple pop-punk with few chord changes and a quick beat. After realizing that this niche wasn't right for the band, they decided to do away with the extra guitar player and go on as a 3-Piece. Now they're quite complicated but still goofy, speedy, and catchy as ever.
This faction consists of Eric Harrison on Bass and Background Vocals, Carl Kline on Drums, and Evan Bandy on Guitar and Lead Vocals.
The following that is generally attracted to us is the younger crowd of kids that want something different to do on weekends. Girls like us, and jealous people have labeled us a 'boy band' but we're getting some and they aren't so they should cry about it.
Now, after releasing 2 CDs independently, the band hopes to start playing shows outside of sleepy Lubbock and in bigger cities in Texas like DFW, Austin, El Paso, etc. They have t-shirts, patches, and CDs for sale at shows, and online. Also an MP3 page which is attractive and bright with all 16 songs that we play live. Have fun kiddos!
