From Charlotte North Carolina, this newly established, hard hitting Christian rock group is comprised of three veteran musicians with years of professional live and studio experience that have made the decision to devote their lives to working for Jesus Christ.Covering vast styles and rhythms from hard rock to blues, jazz and folk; this group fulfills just about every need of style. Each member brings different feels into the mix developing some of the hottest sounds out there in modern writing.

4U members are drummer Tom Baines from Rock Hill, SC successfully delivering the backbeat of a Christian heart strong and loud. Bassist and rangeful backing vocals are the specialty of Dave Laney from Harrisburg, NC with an untouchable drive steady and sure to be reckoned with and counted on. Singer/songwriter Craig Rainey from Charlotte, NC will impress with a soulful tone while multi-tasking the melodies of guitars and main vocals for a unique music experience.

Their sound is a driven electric yet melodic rock with a family friendly Christian message satisfying interest groups from their teens through thirties. “We feel there is a need out there, a musical gap to be filled, a group to be reached and we’ll do everything that we can to reach them”, says Rainey, “people want the kind of music they can relate to and are familiar with”, referring to secular rock music. He says, “too many are swayed into thinking that if the music is rock and roll, jazz, blues or anything else besides church hymns then it’s wrong or unacceptable. I believe that there is no Christian music, only Christian lyrics. I also believe that music is a God given gift and it should be used as a vehicle to bring praise to and celebrate the Lord and 4U has been formed to do just that!”Corresponding to the new trend of popular, interesting music and faith coming together, 4U has been showing people what it’s all about, making the desired music choice a reality for many in the southeast region.
