3 hole PUNCH is a psychedelic jazz band that will appeal to a wide variety of listeners. Their current release 'How do you like my cat' represents the inspired improvisations of this incredible quintet.Formed by Jeffrey Normal and Bill Bousfield in January of 1995, this group began to write material and rehearse for the as yet untitled album.In the summer 1995 they began basic sessions for this project with Jeffrey Normal producing.

Jeffrey Normal has produced and played with many different artists both in his own band in San Francisco, Jeffrey Normal and Magick, who played Lollapalooza 1991 and The Gathering of the Tribes at the Shoreline Ampitheatre,and with James Gurley, the father of the psychedelic guitar in UFM who toured Japan in 1991.He has also performed with Delmar Brown,Don Cherry,Sonny Simmons,Sky Saxon,Carol Doda,Eddie Duran, Roy Blumenfeld,John Gregory,Doni Harvey and many other noted artists.

3 hole PUNCH is Jeffreys tribute to Miles Davis who was a big influence. The album Agharta was the inpiration for the formation of the group and they continue this 'lost' tradition of free harmolodic development over a formidable and funky rhythm.Intensity of idea and amazing facilities are the hallmarks of this modern band.

Bill Bousfield on saxophone must be heard to be believed.His place in music history is assured.Drew Thompson is a young guitarist with an iconoclastic style.To him inside and outside are not exclusionary.Chris Davies represents a long tradition of passionate intense and romantic guitarists.Rich Maslach is the center of the band and is unmatched both for groove and power.As a drummer Rich is IT!Jeffrey Normal is a bassist with a very psychedelic edge.There is no one who plays quite like him.
