12 Step Program was formed from the ashes of two other groups in 2000. They decided to create a new breed of fuelcore music based on funk-metal and groove-metal. Attracting violent crowds and concentrating on a huge stage presence makes every one of their shows a unique experience.

The band is comprised of 5 members. Jeff Dorion provides half of the powerful guitar section and puts the groove behind the music. Jay Morgan provides the second half and adds the chunky yet catchy backbeats. Maarten Pelligrini provides the bass licks and provides much of the fleetfingered funk as seen in some sections of Mudvayne's musical stylings. Jeff Beaudette whacks away on the drums giving the music its characteristic bone-crunching thump and monumental climaxes. Lastly, Trey Holton tops it off with emotion-filled vocals that give the music its power.
